Monchee is an enemy in Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Monchees are robotic monkeys, not unlike the Mini-Donkey Kongs of their only appearance's sequel.
Monchees are cyllinderical, almost barrel-like robot monkeys that bang on cymbals. Although touching them can prove fatal to Mario, the plumber can successfully grab and hold onto their harmless tails, which usually hang out below whatever platform a Monchee is pacing on. Riding a Monchee's tail in this manner can help Mario get across several deadly obstacles such as spikes.
Monchees were the successors of an organic, unnamed monkey species in Donkey Kong '94, and the predecessors to Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis's Tie Kongs. Cymbal Charge Kongs, also seen in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2, resemble them, but serve a different purpose.
