Shroom Ridge is one of the many racecourses that take place on a public road in the Mario Kart series. This racecourse appears solely in Mario Kart DS.
This public road race track is unique as it takes place on a mountain ridge, hence the name. For about half of the course, the right hand side has no railing and is a straight drop off the cliff.
It is also notable for the fact that in this course, the traffic moves in both directions, as opposed to the same direction as in most previous public road courses.
The missions 3-7 and 4-3 take place on this course.
This is similar to Mushroom Bridge and Moonview Highway, from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Kart Wii, respectively.
