Potted Ghosts, also known as Vased-Baseds, are creatures seen in Yoshi's Island DS that, interestingly, seem to have some relationship to Goombas. They have the same sort of feet, and walk in the same manner. However, instead of mushrooms, their upper bodies are vases, with flowers sticking out of their heads. They're quite common in the game, and indeed do seem to be the Yoshi's Island equivalent of Goombas.
