The Gate.
The Gate is a location in Super Mario Galaxy. Located on a small, floating island above the Comet Observatory, the Gate appears to be little more than a small house. The Gate is inaccessible until the sixth Grand Star is recovered from Bowser Jr.'s Lava Reactor.
By passing through the Gate, Mario is able to return to the Gateway to the Starry Sky. On the Gate's island is a Hungry Luma who, when fed 1200 Star Bits, will allow Mario to travel to the Boo's Boneyard Galaxy.
There is also a 1-Up Mushroom at the bottom of the Gate's island. It can be accessed by flying using a Red Star near the Garage or above the Kitchen after Mario completes Gateway's Purple Coins in the Gateway Galaxy.
