A Flag Shot is an event in Mario Golf and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. It is possibly one of the hardest moves to perform, although it earns the player no extra points, turns, or power-ups. To get a Flag Shot, the player's golf ball must hit the flag on the pin sticking out of the hole.
When the player performs a Flag Shot, the words "FLAG SHOT" appear in big red letters; The announcer also says "Flag Shot" at this exact same time.
