Template:Pitenemy The Tashrooba is a purple Shroob-like Tanoomba used by the Shroobs during their conquest of the Mushroom Kingdom during Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Like the Tanoomba, Tashroobas are masters of shape-shifting, although the raccoon-like features on their transformations often give them away. Tashroobas were stationed inside Shroob Castle, the Shroobified version of Princess Peach's Castle, during the Shroob occupation of the Mushroom Kingdom. These shape-shifting creatures were used as guards for the castle; notably, Tashroobas guarded the main entrance of Shroob Castle. The Tashrooba guards would disguise themselves as different objects and creatures, including a Toad, a 100 Gold Coin, a ? Block, and a Thwack. When an intruder approached the disguised shape-shifter, the Tashrooba would reveal itself and attack.
Tashroobas have the exact same attacks as their Tanoomba counterparts, except the Tashroobas' attacks are much stronger and much faster. Before each attack, the Tashrooba will either perform a twirling jump or a normal jump. If the Tashrooba twirls, the shape-shifter will attack Luigi. If it does not twirl, the Tashrooba will attack Mario. After jumping, the Tashrooba will either turn into a Thwomp, a balloon, or a Spiny shell. If the creature turns into a Thwomp, the Tashrooba will fall to the ground extremely fast and crush the appropriate Mario brother, causing massive damage. If the Tashrooba turns into a balloon, the shape-shifter will fall quickly (although slower than the Thwomp transformation) to the ground and hit a Mario brother, causing damage. Both of these attacks can be countered with a Hammer strike. If the Tashrooba turns into a Spiny shell, it will spin into the Mario brother it indicated with its jump, then circle around and attack the next Mario brother. The Tashrooba will circle multiple times, causing damage and potentially poisoning the Mario Bros. Mario and Luigi could jump to avoid this quick attack.
