Three Support Shroobs were needed to hold one Shroob-omb. If one Support Shroob was destroyed, the two remaining Shroobs soldiers would start flashing red under the stress of the bomb’s weight. If the middle or far right Support Shroobs were the only ones left, the massive Bob-omb could roll in the opposite direction and damage both Mario Bros.

Support Shroobs are normal-looking Shroobs that aided Commander Shroob in his battle against the Mario Bros. of past and present. During the confrontation, the Support Shroobs wielded gigantic Shroob-ombs, attempting to defeat the Mario Bros. with the bomb's massive explosions.

To attack the heroic Mario brothers, the Support Shroobs would throw the Shroob-omb at one of the brothers. Fortunately, the Shroob-omb would wink to indicate which Bro. it would be thrown at. If the Bob-omb winked its right eye, the Support Shroobs would throw the explosive at Mario. If the bomb winked its left eye, Luigi would be attacked. The Baby Mario Bros. could counter the Shroob-omb attack by deflecting the massive bomb with their Hammers. Unfortunately, the Support Shroobs could also deflect the Shroob-omb back to a Mario brother. After several successful volleys by the Mario Bros., the bomb would eventually explode and damage the Support Shroobs. However, if the Mario Bros. failed to deflect the Shroob-omb and were caught in the explosion, both brothers would be damaged and could even become Dizzy. After the inevitable explosion, a Shroob UFO would fly into the battlefield and drop another Shroob-omb for the Support Shroobs to use.

Additionally, instead of throwing the Shroob-omb at the Mario Bros., the Support Shroobs would throw the Shroob-omb high in the air. While the bomb was in the air, the Support Shroobs would quickly charge into a Mario Bro. The brothers could counter by jumping on their respective attackers. After attacking, the Support Shroobs would catch the Shroob-omb as the explosive device fell to the ground.

Three Support Shroobs were needed to hold one Shroob-omb. If one Support Shroob was destroyed, the two remaining Shroobs soldiers would start flashing red under the stress of the bomb's weight. However, the two Support Shroobs could still lift the massive Shroob-omb. If two Support Shroobs were destroyed, the last one would be crushed and the Shroob-omb would roll away. If the Support Shroob on the far left was the sole remaining Shroob, the Shroob-omb would roll backwards and explode, knocking Commander Shroob into the battle. If the middle or far right Support Shroobs were the only ones left, the massive Bob-omb could roll in the opposite direction and damage both Mario Bros.

Additionally, Commander Shroob launched Support Shroobs to attack the four Mario brothers during the epic confrontation between the military commander and the four heroes.
