Green Yoshis are the primary skin color for the Yoshis. In Super Mario World, they have all the powers from eating Koopa shells. If they eat a blue Koopa shell they get wings, if they eat a red shell they can spit Fireballs, and if they eat a yellow shell they become very heavy. Although they can gain shell powers, they cannot get extra powers.
In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, they play every worlds 1st level, and Bowser's Castle in world 6.
In Super Mario Sunshine, the Yoshis start out as green but change to a different color once they eat a Fruit. They also turn green if they are about to die from not eating another Fruit for a long time.
