The Snack Orb, originally known as the Bone Capsule, first appeared in Mario Party 5, where it could be thrown to a space on the board, or just thrown away. It's effect was activated when Chain Chomp came for a player's coins or Stars. The player threw a bone off the side, and Chain Chomp ended up going after it, leaving the player alone. In Mario Party 6 and Mario Party 7, it became the Snack Orb, and was only found on boards with Star-stealing Chain Chomps (Snowflake Lake and Pyramid Park). The effect was the same, except the Snack Orb from Mario Party 7 was for players to use on themselves, and it protected them for three turns, or if a Chain Chomp attacked.
