A dirt track short-cut, although noticeably slower than normal speeds, gives racers a slight advantage over their opponent, especially if done using a mini-turbo or mushroom. Players must be careful exiting the dirt track, as it is perpendicular to the course, and leads off to the sea.

Delfino Square is a racecourse in Mario Kart DS. It is inspired by Delfino Plaza of Super Mario Sunshine and resembles Marrakech in Morroco on the Real World.

A lifting bridge covered in speed boosts near the end of the course rises and lowers during the race.

The player can use a mini-turbo or mushroom to the left or right after exiting the main part of town will give to the player a short-cut across to a dock, shaving off a few seconds. A dirt track short-cut, although noticeably slower than normal speeds, gives racers a slight advantage over their opponent, especially if done using a mini-turbo or mushroom. Players must be careful exiting the dirt track, as it is perpendicular to the course, and leads off to the sea. Missions 2-1 and 3-2 take place here.
