WiiWare are downloadable games and applications for the Wii that can be found on the Wii Shop Channel. While many WiiWare channels such as Check Mii Out! and Everybody Votes can be downloaded for free, WiiWare games can cost anywhere between 500 to 1500 Wii Points.

Unlike Virtual Console games, WiiWare games are original titles, and can all be played using a Wii Remote, unlike many Virtual Console games which may require a Wii Classic Controller or a GameCube Controller. Currently, only one Mario game is available, but more are likely to follow.
