Boost Pads (also called Dash Panels, Zippers or Turbo Tiles) are special zones that appear in the Mario Kart Series. The appearance of these items have changed through out the games history from flashing rainbow Panels to green panels to just plain Yellow and red pads. Boost Pads are used to increase speed of the Karts, specially essential to use in great obstacles as big jumps and slopes.

Boost pads appear in almost every level and appear as yellow and red pads.
