Template:Space-infobox Red Spaces, also known as Minus Spaces in Mario Party 5, are spaces in the Mario Party Series series. When a player lands on a Red Space, they will lose three coins. After the last five turns, they may cause the player to lose six to nine coins. In Mario Party 7 and Mario Party 8, a Bonus Star may be awarded to the player who lands on the most red spaces. Also, like all the other spaces in Mario Party 8, the shape is different on each board, including the tutorial.
Also, in New Super Mario Bros. Red Spaces appear, and stand for a level that hasn't been completed, including types of Mushroom Houses. If the player has beaten the level, a Blue Space appears.
