- Fungi Forest from Donkey Kong 64 was originally planned to be a level in Banjo-Kazooie.
- In the N-Mark Spade Panel game from Super Mario Bros. 3, the fourth, fifth, and sixth cards from the left on the bottom row are always a Mushroom, Fire Flower, and Starman.
- The name of the Wildlife kart in German is "Safarijeep", a reference to the Jeep automobile brand.
