File categories
When categorising files, the link should be one of the subcategories on Category:Super Mario World images (in the case of sprites, it should be "Super Mario World assets"), not "Super Mario World enemies". Categories like "enemies", "items" etc. are for articles only. Mario JC 00:37, January 27, 2025 (EST)

Aboutfile templates
Hello, WingedBoomBoom. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. {{aboutfile |1=Subject of the image |2=Where you found the image |3=Artist |4=Describe edits, if any |5=Other versions (use file link) }} Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. A description of the image subject (parameter |
Hi! Those are great images you uploaded, but you did not use the Aboutfile Template. You just removed the template altogether and added a description without it. I'll help you out!
The template is already set up when uploading files. All you need to do is fill out the parameters with the correct information:
- 1 is Subject of the image. It describes what the image is about.
- 2 is Where you found the image. If your image comes from somewhere, input where it is from here (for example, sources to other websites).
- 3 is Artist. If the image is artwork, put in the name of the artist(s).
- 4 is Describe edits, if any. If you edited the original image in any way, list the edits here.
- 5 is Other versions (use file link). if this file is very similar to another one, be sure link to it.
Only use the necessary parameters - simply remove the ones you don't need! I hope this information helps you! Sparks (talk)

Italics
Hello, WingedBoomBoom! Thanks for your contributions. When writing titles for media like games, films, TV shows, and publications, please remember to italicize them. This is done by placing two straight apostrophes (not quotation marks or curly apostrophes) on both sides of the title, or clicking on the I icon above the text box and typing out the title. For example, typing out ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' generates Super Mario Bros.
If you are using a device that uses curly ("smart") punctuation, you may need to disable this function in your device's settings to be able to type out the correct apostrophes. |
