Move to fruit freighter?

If the DEBS calls them "fruit freighters," shouldn't that be prioritized as the article's name, or am I missing some nuance with how its applied? I admittedly have not played Sunshine since 2020. - Nintendo101 (talk) 23:01, March 26, 2025 (EDT)

"The fruit freighter" is used as a collective singularized name for the two boats moving around Delfino Plaza. Most of the NPCs just refer to them as "boats," though, and it's not clear if it counts the identical boats that go between the plaza and the airstrip. Typically the NPCs in these games are informal, as evident with how Rocto (a "mean-looking alien") and the Electro-Koopa King (a "weird turtle") are referenced in their respective games. I would think the DEBS calls are a little more formal. - Nintendo101 (talk) 12:41, March 30, 2025 (EDT)

I just checked this myself. The Delfino Plaza/Airstrip boats all look the same, except for the one by the Pianta guy who takes you to the airstrip...at the airstrip, and for some reason, not at the plaza. Pretty sure this has to be an oversight. LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:46, March 31, 2025 (EDT)

That sounds right to me. I am inclined to think the localization of "the fruit freighter" singularly was also an oversight. I am leaning towards it being an appropriate name for these boats, personally. - Nintendo101 (talk) 18:08, March 31, 2025 (EDT)

I don't think it was supposed to refer to that one specific boat, though. When shown at the airstrip, it's more than unloaded cargo - it's larger, with a visible wheel and a different bow shape. Maybe there can be a split with "small boat" for it and "fruit freighter" for the rest? LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:15, March 31, 2025 (EDT)
