Personally I don't think any Expand, Stub or Construction templates are necessary to those pages unless they're ''severely'' lacking in content (Like [[List of Mario Party: Star Rush quotes]]) but, like Galleries, sometimes articles are just expanded as users get content. I don't think we need to place messages telling what ''needs'' to be there. {{User:LadySophie17/sig}} 17:34, March 5, 2025 (EST) | Personally I don't think any Expand, Stub or Construction templates are necessary to those pages unless they're ''severely'' lacking in content (Like [[List of Mario Party: Star Rush quotes]]) but, like Galleries, sometimes articles are just expanded as users get content. :So I've been kind of thinking... maybe it would be better to do "game scripts" akin to old GameFAQs? We'd list out the conversations and actions in each scene to add context and sort it by the order it happens in game. That way, you could cluster up conversations between different characters more easily. It'd also make writing these articles, and finding how complete these are, easier -- rather than guesstimating how much dialogue each character has, you could say "hmm, ''Super Paper Mario'' is missing a ton from Chapter 7." {{User:Scrooge200/sig}} 04:28, March 9, 2025 (EDT) |

Scope?

What exactly should be the scope of Lists of Quotes articles? What are they here for? A lot of them can get quite lengthy, especially when generic voice lines are transcribed to them, and offer very little extra insight into a character's personality. Not to mention all of those quotes are inherently out of context, making many of them sound confusing and unhelpful if you're looking for a specific interaction. Half of them seem to always have an Expand, Stub or Construction template attached to them (until I removed quite a few) because, by the nature of being quotes, will forever be "incomplete" until every piece of dialogue from a game is transcribed to it, which would only worsen the problem. I think it would be very helpful to delineate a more concrete way of determining what quotes are fit for a List of Quotes article, how many and when a game is sufficiently covered.
