Fly Guy starts by dribbling the ball in an ''S'' shape. The ball becomes white with electricity. Fly Guy pulls out a [[Spear Guy|spear]] and starts spinning it, which shocks the ball with electricity. Next, Fly Guy throws the ball (which is completely yellow) into the basket with the spear and if made in, what appears to be a lightning strike hits through the basket.

The Thunder Shot is Fly Guy's Special Shot in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. It can be activated by tapping out an "S" shape. The sequence begins with Fly Guy dribbling the ball in an "S" shape, then the ball begins to glow white.[1] Fly Guy pulls out a spear and spins it, engulfing the ball with electricity. Fly Guy then launches the ball high up, and it lands into the basket in the manner of a lightning strike. If the move is used outside of the three-point line, the ball is thrown for a teammate to dunk instead.[2]
