We really shouldn't be considering them "unused;" both the graphics and the palettes ''are'' used separately, and there's no extra coding like for SMB3's green Para-Beetles. Calling them "unused," therefore, provides a dangerous slippery slope where any palette slot and graphic combination could be considered unused if it doesn't come into play. Basically, these should be deleted for the same reason the turquose and solid orange [[Proto Piranha]] images were. :I think the current set up clearly indicates it's not seen in-game. I do think it's not a bad thing to extrapolate from an existing palette combination to envision what each color of Yoshi would look like as a car. I don't allowing these sprites are anathema to the wiki's goals. The Proto Piranha's reasoning was concerning the asset possibly just borrowing textures from the existing environment[https://www.mariowiki.com/MarioWiki:Proposals/Archive/72#Delete_Alternative_Proto_Piranha_Images] rather than being its own "unused" colors. If that's the case that's just programming behavior (perhaps an expected fallback for entities that lack textures) and may lend to a misleading impression these are unused variants of Proto Piranha. {{User:Mario/sig}} 15:25, February 22, 2025 (EST)

I think the current set up clearly indicates it's not seen in-game. I do think it's not a bad thing to extrapolate from an existing palette combination to envision what each color of Yoshi would look like as a car. I don't believe allowing these sprites is anathema to the wiki's goals. The Proto Piranha's reasoning was concerning the asset possibly just borrowing textures from the existing environment[1] rather than being its own "unused" colors. If that's the case that's just programming behavior (perhaps an expected fallback for entities that lack textures) and may lend to a misleading impression these are unused variants of Proto Piranha.
