Category:Power-ups (cleanup)
This is an informal dissection of Category:Power-ups and its subcategories for a cleanup of these categories, possibly involving a proposal.
Seems fine
- List of power-ups: Not a power-up itself, but a list of power-ups (duh!) entirely from platforming games. It's standard practice to include list articles at the top of categories, and this list had a cleanup itself that will assist in inform mine.
- Bee Mushroom (Category:Animal power-ups, Category:Flight power-ups)
- Blue Shell (Category:Animal power-ups, Category:Flight power-ups)
- Boo Mushroom
- Boost Star
- Bulb Berry
- Dash Pepper
- Drill Mushroom
- Flutter Wings: Should probably be moved to Category:Flight power-ups, but otherwise seems to fit.
- Goomba's Shoe
- Goomba's Shoe (stiletto)
- Heart Fruit (Category:Power-ups, Category:Invincibility power-ups)
- Ice Skate
- Master Sword
- Metal Cap
- Morph bubble
- Mystery Mushroom
- Pal Pill
- Red Star
- Rock Mushroom (Category:Power-ups, Category:Invincibility power-ups)
- SMB2 Mushroom
- Spring Mushroom
- Super Crown
- Super Hammer (Super Mario Maker 2)
- Super Sprayer
- Vanish Cap
- Weird Mushroom
- Wing (Super Mario Bros. Special) (Category:Power-ups, Category:Flight power-ups)
- Wing Cap
- Wings (Super Mario 64 DS) (Category:Power-ups, Category:Flight power-ups)
- Yoshi's Wings (Category:Power-ups, Category:Flight power-ups)
Gives the player coins, extra lives, time, etc.
Verdict: Remove. These don't "power up" the user in any way.

- Bēda Capsule
- Great Mushroom
- Hone
- Hybrid power-up
- Power Pod: A power-up in its source game, Solar Striker, but its sole Super Mario-related appearance is in a manga.
