<< Directory of missions >> |
Shining Atop the Pyramid is the second mission of Shifting Sand Land in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. The mission's objective is to collect the Power Star on top of the pyramid.
Layout[edit]
The player has to first make it to the pyramid, either by going around the course or by using the Wing Cap if it is unlocked. Once at the pyramid, the player needs to climb to the top by using the platforms ringing around the exterior. When climbing, the player may be attacked by Fly Guys and flame throwers. In a little nook at the top of the pyramid is the Power Star. If the Wing Cap is unlocked, the player also has the option of flying directly to the Power Star. Additionally, Luigi can backward-somersault to the top of the pyramid.
