World 6-3 is the third level of World 6 in Super Mario Bros. and the twenty-third level overall in said game. In Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, this level has a monochrome palette (being the palette usually used in castles), but its palette is similar to other grassland levels in Super Mario All-Stars. The only enemies encountered in this level are Bullet Bills that are fired at the player from off screen, and the level consists of several tree platforms and lifts.

Layout[edit]

The player starts on a stretch of land before the first platform. After the third platform is a vertically moving lift that can help the player over a tall platform, after which is a jumping board and three horizontally moving lifts, with a ? Block containing a power-up over the final one. Next is a vertically moving lift before two sets of Balance Lifts. Here, Bullet Bills will begin to appear. After some more platforms is a jumping board the player can use to reach a horizontally moving lift and a scale. Finally, there are four Flimsy Lifts before the final platform and the flagpole.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe challenges[edit]

In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, the player can collect five Red Coins, find a hidden Yoshi Egg, and get a medal based on their score. The Yoshi Egg is found in a Hidden Block to the left of the platform below the third scale lift, and the score to beat is 21000. The Red Coin locations are:

  • On the platform after the first jumping board, below the lifts
  • Beneath the vertically moving lift after the ? Block
  • On the tall platform after the second scale lift
  • On the platform after the second jumping board, below the lift
  • Underneath the final platform
