That "gigantic" kick bomb that looks different from the soccer ball one... its internal name is "InkBomb" (compare to the soccer balls: they're called "BombBound"). They probably behave the same and are throwbacks to the soccer balls, but they look different and have different internal names. Mario It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:09, April 15, 2022 (EDT)

Split the Ink Bomb

Another rather overdue discussion we think it's high time to resolve. We don't know enough about Soccer/not-American Football to make a funny joke, so let's just cut to the chase.

In the Bowser's Fury campaign of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, a unique, distinctly not soccer ball-like version of the Kick Bomb appears, labelled "Ink Bomb" internally. This has been merged to this article for awhile, but it's also been under contention for splitting for just as long. Mechanically, they're almost the same, aside from being larger. So, what do we do? Do we keep 'em merged, or do we split these up?

Split

  1. Camwoodstock (talk) We think this is the decision that makes the most sense, for one key reason; the sheer quantity of split articles based on big enemies. While the gameplay nuances of this particular size change are a little less pronounced, they do at least sport a unique appearance and have a unique name, which we personally think is fair enough.
