Yeah, anyway, nice to meet you; I'm Bye Guy. You may wonder how I came up with such a peculiar name? Well, I'm a big fan of [[Shy Guy]]s, and since there are [[:Category:Shy Guys|so many variants of them]], I decided to make one up for myself.


You see, what would be the Mario universe explanation for {{wp|sudden arrhythmic death syndrome}} (also known as, "dying in your sleep") be? Simple: down there in the [[Subcon]], [[Wart]] and his minions have devised a cruel synthetic intelligence technology that allowed them to produce a very tough type of Shy Guy. This prosthetic Shy Guy, nick-named "BYE Guy" to signify that it's the last thing you see before your consciousness fades away, is programmed to chase a subject in their dreams and obliterate them, which takes effect in their own physical world as well. {{wp|Freddie Krueger|Sounds familiar, right}}?

However, cases of sleep death are very rare, since Wart's plan is not to exterminate the population of the Mushroom World but is merely an built upon his desires from ''[[Super Mario Bros. 2]]'' to haunt them beyond the land of dreams. Wanna know why Toad turned blue in ''[[Super Mario 3D World]]''? It's because he's not ''the'' Toad; [[Blue Toad (character)|Bucken Berry]] was appointed by [[Princess Peach]] as her trusted protector after the disappearance of their red-spotted, beloved mushroom retainer who participated to parties, go-karting and sport events. And wasn't Toad directly involved in Wart's defeat back when he captured the Subcon fairies? Could that mean that perhaps Wart still holds a grudge to the ones who foiled his plans, and that he might be looking for Princess Peach and the Mario brothers next, heavens forbid?

Each night, Mario, Luigi and Peach keep a sharp eye out for each other as they travel through the land of Subcon. They know that their wonderful sleep can turn into a nightmare--one that they might never wake up from.
 
So, let it be known to everyone: stay away from the wrath of the Bye Guy.
 
Fuck mate, this thing was embarrasing as hell, but I came up with it in one evening because I had to fill up my page with something. I'm one to try to find a reason in everything, including the silly names I come up with, so I guess that's something you should know about me. Other things? Well, not sure.
