Peach's Day Off[1] is a Showdown minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree. It is centered around Peach, and it has four players fulfilling several tasks for her during a day out in the city. Like other Showdown minigames, this minigame cannot be played in the Mario Party mode if Peach is an active player character, though she can still be used in this minigame in Minigame Bay modes.
Introduction[edit]
The camera pans down to the city, where Peach is chatting with some Toads. Meanwhile, the four players are in another section of the city, where a green Toad instructs them to deliver presents to Peach.
Gameplay[edit]
This minigame has four players accompanying Peach and her Toads on an outing in the city across three different stages.
The first stage has the players carrying stacks of five presents each. The players have to carefully navigate an auto-scrolling stage while avoiding several Biddybuds. If a player gets hit by a Biddybud, it will cause them to drop a present. Players can also collide with each other. At the end of the stage, Peach greets the players, as they each give their presents to their respective Toad. Each present is worth three points. In the Mario Party mode, the player who encountered Peach on the board first to trigger the minigame receives a golden present worth 10 points as an advantage. This stage plays similarly to Acornucopia from Mario Party: Star Rush.
The second stage takes place at a donut shop, where the players have to pick up donuts for Peach over the course of five rounds. Each plate at the counter has a different number of donuts on it, and the players have to choose which plate to go for, by pressing , , or . Each donut they give to Peach is worth two points, but if two or more players select the same plate of donuts, they will bump into each other and get no points. Because there are three trays, this ensures only one or two trays can be uniquely chosen and one tray will be chosen by multiple players each round (or two if two players each choose the same tray). This stage plays similarly to Same Is Lame from Mario Party 6.
The third and final stage takes place at night, and it has the players trying to collect gems to launch fireworks. Peach asks for a specific shaped/colored gem, which the players then have to collect and place into their respective cannons within the 45-second time limit. After all the required kind's gems are put into the cannons, more gems fall and Peach asks for another kind of gem. Once the timer runs out, the cannons launch the gems into the night sky, exploding them into colorful fireworks. Each gem the players put into their cannons is worth five points.
The player with the most points at the end wins the minigame and receives Peach as a Jamboree Buddy.
