Power Shots are a special type of shot that appears in the Mario Golf series. Power Shots extend a character's drive, and are limited to six shots per 18-hole golf game. If players perform a shot with perfect timing, however, they do not consume one use. If the game consists of fewer than 18 holes, the number of Power Shots available is equivalent to the number of holes being played divided by three. In ring shot mode, one Power Shot per hole is available. Power Shots are not present in Mario Golf: Super Rush, where they are replaced by the Special Shot mechanic.
