| '''The Lab''' is a room in ''[[Luigi's Mansion]]''. It is here that [[Professor Elvin Gadd|Professor E. Gadd]] informs [[Luigi]] about the mansion and its ghosts near the beginning of the game, and later on, information on [[Boo]]s. This is also where E. Gadd asks the [[player]] where they want to go; to the [[Luigi's Mansion (place)|Mansion]], the [[Training Room]], the [[Gallery]], or, once the game is beaten, the [[Hidden Mansion]].

| *If the player looks in this room closely or uses the [[Game Boy Horror]] in the Training Room or the Gallery, they will notice that there is a wooden ladder visible, giving the impression that E. Gadd's headquarters is underground.

| *When the game was under beta development, it was possible to explore The Lab, and the [[Ghost Portrificationizer Room]] as if they were full maps. It was also possible to climb the ladder in the Lab. This could imply that the Player was able to explore the outside regions of [[Luigi's Mansion (place)|Luigi's Mansion]]. It is possible for one to access these rooms with an Action Replay code, but the doors leading to the other rooms wouldn't be openable.
