:It's virtually a [[MarioWiki:Coverage#Super Smash Bros. series|Super Smash Bros.-type situation]] where Mario elements co-exist with non-Mario elements, being neither central to the activity nor a mere "guest appearance" of sorts; the implication being that every aspect of this subject warrants coverage here in some form.
