WiiWare are downloadable games that can be found on the Wii Shop Channel. While many other channels downloadable on the Shop Channel are free, WiiWare games can cost anywhere between 500 to 1500 Wii Points.

There are also WiiWare games that available for purchse, much like with Virtual Console games. However, these games are original titles, and can all be played using a Wii Remote, unlike many games on the Virtual Console channel which may require a Wii Classic Controller or a GameCube Controller. Currently, only one Mario game is available, but more are likely to follow.
