Species Footballfish
First appearance Super Mario-kun Volume 10 (1994)

Chōchin Unkō is a minor antagonist that only appears in chapter 3 of Super Mario-kun Volume 10. It is a footballfish shaped like feces.

While swimming in Pukupuku Kai, Mario and Bowser-Wanda's heads are attached with a small octopus and a sunfish respectively, hindering them. Taking advantage of this, the Chōchin Unkō approaches and attacks them with its light, which slowly turns them faces-shaped. To save his friends, Yoshi eats them, digesting the two fishes on their heads and laying his friends in an egg. Without the octopus draining his energy, Mario is able to defeat the Chōchin Unkō with a fireball.
