The Parthenon Column is an item in the PC and SNES versions of Mario is Missing! As its name suggests, it is one of the pillars that holds up the Parthenon. While a bunch of Koopa Troopas are rummaging around Athens, they steal this Column, causing the Pantheon to shut down. Luigi soon sets out to take it back, and he comes across it on a Koopa Troopa walking around the city. However, as he does not know where it belongs, he asks various people within the city about it. Everyone immediately recognizes its origins and beings telling him various facts about the Pantheon, such as how they are 36 feet (they are actually 34 feet[1]). Eventually, Luigi gathers enough information that he able to successfully return it to the Parthenon through its information booth. He receives $1500 as a reward, with an additional $3000 if he returns the Column before any other item.
