Chests in the Current is the second mission of Dire, Dire Docks in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS.
Layout[edit]
To get the Power Star for this level, the player has to open the Treasure Chests at the bottom of the first area in the correct order. Opening the wrong one results in the character getting electrocuted and the puzzle resetting, and every time the correct one is opened, an air bubble comes out. The order of the chests is as follows:
- The chest behind the whirlpool, next to the clam shell
- The chest below the entrance to the tunnel, next to some seaweed/coins
- The chest behind the whirlpool, to the right. In the DS version, this chest is removed.
- The chest directly in front of the whirlpool
Once all the chests have been opened in the correct order, the Power Star appears to the left of the tunnel's entrance.
