Mario wearing a helmet in Super Mario Sunshine

A helmet[1] appears as an item in Super Mario Sunshine. It is used during certain episodes in Noki Bay. Mario borrows the helmet from the Noki Elder in the episode Red Coins in a Bottle, and from the Noki grandson in the episodes Eely-Mouth's Dentist and The Red Coin Fish. While equipped, it prolongs Mario's ability to stay underwater without returning to the surface to breathe. Though Mario's Health Meter runs out considerably slower when this helmet is used, he must still collect coins to replenish it when it gets low.
