Although Blow Hards are cacti, they never actually appear in deserts.
A Blow Hard is a green cactus that spits Needlenoses at Yoshi in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS. It is invincible mostly, but the player can pound the ground nearby or egg it to KO it, but it will wake up a few seconds later. It will always be facing Yoshi, so the player has to be careful. Any solid objects and platforms can stop their projectiles, however. It can be defeated in the former with an Ice Watermelon.
