I have some questions regarding a few of the predictions:
*''You climb into the heights of the castle. You see many windows and a blue switch. You hit the switch and go forward, then hit another switch and go forward. But there is no third switch. Instead, you jump out the open window and proceed. Then the way opens...''
*''You climb into the heights of the castle. You see many windows and a blue switch. You hit a switch to bridge a gap, then the shelled one hits a second switch to bridge a second gap. Then you reach a third gap...but there is no third switch. Instead, you jump out the open window and proceed. Then the way opens...''
These are both listed on your sandbox page, but the top one is word-for-word the same as in the GCN version. The second sounds like it's rewording it though, so is only the second one in the Switch version, or are they both in the Switch version?
*''You go to the Great Tree where the little ones live. You see a red cell. You find the key to unlock it somewhere nearby. Then the way opens...''
This one is not in the sandbox and seemingly only in GCN. With the Switch remake adding more predictions, it seems odd for them to completely remove one and have no replacement for it. Did you forget to add it to the sandbox list, or was it really removed from the game?<br>

Welcome to my talk page! I'll reply to messages as soon as I can, and feel free to remind me if I've forgotten anything.
File names
I'm mainly asking out of curiosity, but how do you get the internal file names for characters in the Paper Mario series? Nightwicked Bowser
So, Um
Would you happen to know if any new characters, settings, or features were added to any of the three Super Mario 3D All-Stars collections? I have played through half of each and they just feel like ports. Green Star 21:18, September 26, 2020 (EDT)
- Good point. For now, I'll be working on the suggestions from you and Archivist Toadette, such as Host Snifit, Tangerino Grill waiter, Green Energy Plant researcher, Bridge expert, Port Prisma barista, Bloo Bay Beach barista, etc. Sound good? Green Star 21:27, September 26, 2020 (EDT)
Audience Dialogue
Maybe it could be a section on the quotes page with seperate sections like:
===Location===
--DarkNight 10:48, October 14, 2020 (EDT)
- Well, I guess we can do it if someone starts a project like that. I have
a fewonetwo from memory: "Guard, you fool!" That one appears in basically every battle during the enemy's turn. The other one is "Who likes mushrooms? ME!" (Said whenever the player uses a mushroom) --DarkNight 12:45, October 14, 2020 (EDT)
Archive template
Just thought I'd tell you we have a template like your talk archive one already at Template:Talk archive. I'm not sure if having a template similar to one already exists would be a userspace violation (like what we did with the user-created welcome templates way back when), but just letting you know. 17:03, October 25, 2020 (EDT)
- I think it's similar to the status message I have on my userpage, so I think it's fine for now. 17:14, October 25, 2020 (EDT)
Your Thoughts
As I've been focusing on Super Mario Sunshine for some time now, I thought I'd finish up the miscellaneous section while waiting on the verdict for the more minor locations. I've referred to the Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia for ones I may have missed, such as Skelefloor and Turbo doors, while making sure to mark them as conjectural. The encyclopedia also lists some other items I'm interested in, although some seem more necessary than others. Mind if I go through some of them with you and get your perspective on the matter? Green Star 17:06, October 25, 2020 (EDT)
These are the ones in the encyclopedia I would even consider. Added my own suggestions and to what extent I feel they would justify.
Characters
- Bickering Piantas - Two squabbling Piantas often found around Delfino Plaza - actually not in the encyclopedia but suggested by Keyblade Master. I did find them at one point toward the end of the game just before the flood, after which they seem to disappear. I'm certain they can be found in other places around the plaza before this and will happily look into it.
- Beach restaurant Piantas - Yes, these are actually defined as characters, but there's absolutely nothing to differentiate them from the others, and since this does come from the encyclopedia, the very limited information that's there might actually be entirely false - such as the claim that they are married, running a shop with their children - unidentified. I suggest we skip this one.
- Isle Delfino Police Chief - As it would, the chief of Isle Delfino Police. This information is already on the article along with the rookie (see below) - he plays a big part at the beginning of the game and just sort of hangs around the police station after that. Throughout most of the game he mistakenly believes Mario is the culprit and seems to shake this off toward the end.
- Isle Delfino Police Rookie - The Isle Delfino Police rookie, always found next to the chief. I believe he actually has no dialogue unless spoken to, and is also under the idea Mario is the culprit. He's described as a rookie and a worrier here. Maybe, but most of this information can already be found on the aforementioned article.
- Ukulele Pianta - A Pianta in Ricco Harbor playing a happy, simple tune. There is another one of him throughout Pianta Village claiming to be his twin brother. Perhaps, although I would advise against articles for recurring characters who don't contribute or add much to the game overall, especially without anything to distinguish them.
- Dune Buddy - Currently a redirect, so this one is uncertain. He is found in Gelato Beach providing information on the Dune Buds, and if I recall, he also informs Mario of the hatching of the Sand Bird egg later on.
- Shell flautist - He plays in Pinna Park in front of the Buckies as well as "other places around Isle Delfino" - though I'll have to do some research with this one.
- Pinna Park worker - A blue Noki at the entrance of the park, usually telling Mario about whatever new or updated attraction they have there. Unlikely.
- Mommy Noki - So, this one is a bit interesting. The encyclopedia claims she may be the wife of the Noki grandson, who is important enough to have his own article. She is found at the start of both Noki Bay and Pinna Park in a very specific episode, though she'll still be easy to track down. I'll then see if anything she says is actually important information.
- Boathouse owner - Part of the Raccoon page - he owns the boathouse and gives Mario 24 Shine Sprites for 240 Blue Coins.
- Mudboat shack owner - Another raccoon who "owns" the mudboat rental shack in Noki Bay. Mudboats normally cost 90,000 (?) coins to rent, but he gives Mario a lease for free.
The only other ones excluding these are the items and obstacles, although there actually aren't that many to note. I think I'll leave it at this for now and see what you think. Thank you! Green Star 19:40, October 25, 2020 (EDT)
Quotes
That would be great! Are you able to get ones for installments outside of the Paper Mario series as well? Green Star 16:44, November 11, 2020 (EST)
PiNGOUiN
Hey, can you look into this user's Origami King-related edits? I'm skeptical of French names for the Paper Macho Bob-omb and Lava Bubble. I presume match with equivalent Fr data. (And if it's not too much trouble, can you add other languages for the internal strings so this doesn't happen again?) LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:41, November 17, 2020 (EST)
- Appreciated. Sorry to trouble, but can you glance over the other edits with the glossary file when you get a chance? I caught other errors this user made, I suspect while referencing YouTube titles but not the videos themselves. Also, can you please add names for 100-Coin and the Paper Macho Goomba Outlaw and Spike Outlaw since I forgot about them? LinkTheLefty (talk) 11:17, November 18, 2020 (EST)
- Thanks. That user's non-Origami King edits seem to be accurate so I wonder what happened there. (Also, are the Japanese names for the Paper Macho Goomba Outlaw and Spike Outlaw blank? Sorry, last thing I'll ask regarding this.) LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:29, November 25, 2020 (EST)
File Requests
Hello, can you upload a game screenshot of the trio confronting the two Kameks from Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam to this game's gallery?
- Thank you. DumbellaVanderquack (talk) 16:43, December 1, 2020 (EDT)
You have already uploaded 2 images to the gallery, but what about the only picture that I said?
- DumbellaVanderquack (talk) 14:18, December 2, 2020 (EDT)
I want a picture of the trio confronting the two Kameks from Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam in this game's gallery.

Question
Do you still remember me? We've played Skribbl.io and made several WarioWare Gold edits together in 2019. --Tent2 16:47, February 3, 2021 (EST)
Basin in Paper Jam
Can you elaborate on this? I've played Paper Jam quite a lot and I don't really recall that happening. Nightwicked Bowser 13:27, April 12, 2021 (EDT)
Do you know?
I made the Sticker Star media list. Wynn Liaw 04:24, April 14, 2021 (EDT)
Host Snifit quotes
Great job with the Host Snifit quotes. Sorry I haven't responded yet to the quotes program you recommended about - five months ago - I've been busy with a few other things at the moment. I have, however, also been writing quote pages for games I find necessary, such as Super Princess Peach. Do you know of any others? Thanks. Green Star 14:31, April 28, 2021 (EDT)
- I was referring to articles for games with plenty of quotes that don't have quote pages. See Super Princess Peach. However, I've also been working on the already existing pages for Mario Party 2 and Mario Party DS. Green Star 15:14, April 28, 2021 (EDT)
Origami King enemy statistics
Since you seem to have access to the game's files, are you able to get enemy stats (HP, attack POW) as well? The bestiary page still needs a lot of work. Nightwicked Bowser 17:47, April 30, 2021 (EDT)
Whistle Snifit
This is something I'm mainly asking out of curiosity, but is the name "Whistle Snifit" present in Origami King's data as well? As far as I'm aware, we're using that to refer to the Snifits who blow whistles in the cafe with Birdo. Nightwicked Bowser 16:33, May 11, 2021 (EDT)
Re: Music themes
Thank you for the information. I've added everything but the Green Energy Plant tracks to the lists. Although this might be splitting hairs, I can't tell at the moment whether those were just rerendered with audio filters, which I'm not sure the rendition criteria would cover, or also have new instruments layered on top. (Thankfully, most of the themes in question happen to be eligible for articles regardless.) AgentMuffin (talk) 07:59, May 17, 2021 (EDT)
Re: Kersti's advice again
Hey Scrooge, I had to head out for work earlier but now just letting you know I downloaded the file. Thanks a lot for the assistance, I'll definitely acknowledge you in the page history when I make the article.

Bowser's Fury Nomination
Your reason/s for opposing the article from becoming featured are apparently outdated. I would recommend taking a look to add any additional comments or recommendations, or even add support. Thanks. Green Star 18:49, June 14, 2021 (EDT)
Minor edits
When making a large amount of small edits to a bunch of pages at once like that, you should mark them as minor. Not marking them floods the recent changes page with trivial, virtually identical edits that can't be conveniently hidden from view, inconveniencing anyone trying to look at recent edits. 17:01, July 28, 2021 (EDT)
TTYD Piranha Plant’s tattles
Sorry if I bother you, but I think that for the current Pale Piranha proposal the tattles in the various languages of the Pit of 100 Trials' Piranha Plant might be useful, as internal name and appearance suggest that said Piranha Plant was originally intended to be the actual Piranha Plant of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Do you have access to said tattles?--Mister Wu (talk) 16:55, August 24, 2021 (EDT)
Re:About data_chr.elf
I'd retrace my steps to tell you what I did, but it's been a while since then and I've had a hard drive failure in that time. If I didn't use Emacs, I probably got lucky messing around with other text editors (maybe Notepad?) and didn't realize it. LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:17, October 19, 2021 (EDT)
Mole Screenshots
Hey, mind if I request some screenshots for Monty Mole species? Could you get a screenshot of the Rocky Wrench card in Color Splash in-action? Could you get a screenshot for Origami Rocky Wrenches in-battle in Origami King? Could you get a screenshot for the Monty Mole soccer shop and the Fun, Funky and Functional characters talking in the background of the ending cutscene in Origami King? Finally, if possible, could you get the full body Rocky Wrench sprites or a screenshot in Sticker Star (the spritesheet (https://www.spriters-resource.com/3ds/papermariostickerstar/sheet/65001/) does have feet sprites which means that at one point Rocky Wrenches could be fully seen. This is much different to the following two Paper Mario games, which only have upper half sprites). MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 02:18, November 9, 2021 (EST)
Thanks, mind getting the full body Rocky Wrench sprite by itself? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 18:03, November 9, 2021 (EST)
Oh ok, since you could rip the Rocky Wrench from Sticker Star, could you rip the models for Morty Mole (normal and squished), Rocky Wrench, and Monty Mole in Super Mario 3D Land? Also, the Big Montgomery, Monty Mole, and Monty Mole Patch models from Yoshi”s Wooly World (you can rip them from the 3ds version)? Also I want the models to have a transparent background if that is cool with you. MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 19:24, November 9, 2021 (EST)
Oh ok, one last thing? Do you have any guidebooks that have games that feature Monty Mole species? If so, could you explain the descriptions here? Also know anyone that is good at dumping models from 3ds games? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 19:39, November 9, 2021 (EST)
Hey also, mind sending me a video of the Rocky Wrench card in action or their group attack? (I cant open discord so I can’t see any videos on there) MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 21:02, November 10, 2021 (EST)
Spanish Dialogue
Hi, I saw your Spanish translations of Origami King dialogue and I thought it was pretty cool. I am wondering if there are any more differences to the Monty Mole dialogue? Mind providing most or all the Spanish Monty Mole and Rocky Wrench dialogue both non-translated and translated from that game (and also the origami Rocky Wrench description)? I think it could be good info to include on the Monty Mole pages. The main ones I would like are the lines for Monty Mole auctioneer that mentioned the bank and poor house to see if they made changes there. I would also like the dialogue for the Monty Mole that talks about his brother in the Breezy Tunnel Yoga room. Thanks for the help (I hope this is not to excessive for you). MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 00:16, December 4, 2021 (EST)
Thanks for the help, I was wondering what all the Monty Mole dialogue said in Breezy Tunnel was between the English and Spanish versions and all the Monty Mole auctioneer lines as well? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 19:07, December 4, 2021 (EST)
So about what I said? Also, is there a link to where you got all this dialogue from (I know it was in the game files but I am wondering if there is a forum which has it). MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 22:33, December 5, 2021 (EST)

Asking for verification, how do you know Prince Mush and Whacka are post-game bosses? Do you have a source? Sparks (talk) 21:30, May 21, 2024 (EDT)
- Gotcha. I think it'd be good to mention those internal files in the respective articles because others might think it's speculation without them. Sparks (talk) 21:36, May 21, 2024 (EDT)
TTYD leak files
Please see MarioWiki:Spoilers - Files related to the game are not to be uploaded until the game is released. Mario JC 00:31, May 22, 2024 (EDT)
- I've asked the admins about it but in the meantime, since the game comes out very soon, it should be okay removing them from mainspace and leaving them be. Deleting them would only making them hidden from public anyway; it doesn't actually delete them from the website and they'd be restored once the game is out, so no reuploading is necessary. TTYD NS Palace and Tower Key sprites
Hi, when you ripped images for this game, did you happen to come across sprites for the Palace Keys (purple/pink with crown shapes) and the Tower Key (blue key with 5-pointed star shape) for the Palace of Shadow? --Zootalo (talk) 13:22, June 1, 2024 (EDT)
More TTYD NS Key sprites
There are several Important Item key sprites that haven't been uploaded yet. Here's what's missing so far:
- Storage Keys from Glitzville (gold, blue with upside-down triangular shape), they're no longer identical from the Shop Key, whose image file has been named incorrectly.
- Steeple Keys from Creepy Steeple (gray, purple with round shape)
- Station Key from Riverside Station (tan with three circles forming a triangle)
- Elevator Key from Riverside Station (orange with a jewel in it)
Please upload the ripped images for these when you have a chance. Thanks again! --Zootalo (talk) 19:23, June 9, 2024 (EDT)
- Sorry to bother you again; could you please upload the ripped sprite for the Skull Gem? I think that should the last image left. Thank you! --Zootalo (talk) 12:46, June 11, 2024 (EDT)

RE: Transclusions
That was all Mid188, I just gave them a nudge on how to organise them. Copy-pasting is fine for now, but transcluding is possible, and would be better to keep the information up to date all at once. I know it uses the markup below but unfortunately I'm currently not sure how to do that with tables without having to replace all of the tables' vertical bars |
with {{!}}
(my sandbox for reference - using vertical bars would make the table disappear).
On the article being transcluded:
<onlyinclude>{{#ifeq:{{{transcludesection|Section name}}}|Section name| Content to be transcluded }}
On the article the section is being transcluded to:

List of tattles in TTYD NS article
Would you mind if I went ahead and added all the enemy tattles (should be easy to do now that we have the Switch bestiary page)? Wanted to check with you first since it says it's under construction by you, plus I'm wondering where I should put the enemy tattles (like, should it be before or after Areas, etc) and if the enemy section should be organized by location or something else. Once we have a format down, I can easily copy and paste everything over.
Also, only TTYD Switch and SPM have a List of tattles page, strange. Maybe we could eventually make some for PM64 and the original TTYD. --Technetium (talk) 16:57, July 23, 2024 (EDT)
- Thanks for the reply! I don’t think it would be redundant to include enemy tattles considering the SPM list has them, plus they’re kind of drowned out by all the enemy stats on the bestiary page. As for the original TTYD, all the tattles should be here: https://dialoguetree.net/ttyd/ (has a dedicated section for enemy tattles, character and area ones tend to be at the bottom of the section for each location) Technetium (talk) 22:50, July 23, 2024 (EDT)
RE: TTYDNS Trouble Center hints
Thanks for the hints! I did get most of them from the game already, but it seems I did miss some and the Journal hint summaries aren't listed on yours (they are worded differently than the Ian Foomus dialogue). --Technetium (talk) 18:39, August 9, 2024 (EDT)
- Never mind, apparently I can't read and all the Journal versions are there. Thanks again! --Technetium (talk) 19:15, August 9, 2024 (EDT)
Battle Time Title Screen
Thanks for uploading a higher quality version of the Battle Time title screen. The version that I uploaded was actually taken from a YouTube video since I don't have the game. Say, do you actually have WarioWare Gold? If you do, then can you please upload gameplay screenshots and put it on the Battle Time page? The wiki doesn't have any gameplay photos right now. TTYDNS Merluvlee Predictions
Do you happen to have a list of all her predictions (including Shine Sprites and Star Pieces) from the remake? Don't think all the changes there have been recorded on the wiki yet and I'd like to get those down. Thanks! Technetium (talk) 14:46, August 11, 2024 (EDT)
- Thanks a lot! --Technetium (talk) 15:19, August 11, 2024 (EDT)
I have some questions regarding a few of the predictions:
- You climb into the heights of the castle. You see many windows and a blue switch. You hit the switch and go forward, then hit another switch and go forward. But there is no third switch. Instead, you jump out the open window and proceed. Then the way opens...
- You climb into the heights of the castle. You see many windows and a blue switch. You hit a switch to bridge a gap, then the shelled one hits a second switch to bridge a second gap. Then you reach a third gap...but there is no third switch. Instead, you jump out the open window and proceed. Then the way opens...
These are both listed on your sandbox page, but the top one is word-for-word the same as in the GCN version. The second sounds like it's rewording it though, so is only the second one in the Switch version, or are they both in the Switch version?
- You go to the Great Tree where the little ones live. You see a red cell. You find the key to unlock it somewhere nearby. Then the way opens...
This one is not in the sandbox and seemingly only in GCN. With the Switch remake adding more predictions, it seems odd for them to completely remove one and have no replacement for it. Did you forget to add it to the sandbox list, or was it really removed from the game?
Thanks! --Technetium (talk) 18:10, August 11, 2024 (EDT)
