The Statue of Liberty Torch appears in the Super Mario franchise as an item in the PC, SNES, and NES versions of Mario is Missing! that is normally held by the Statue of Liberty in New York City, though when it had been stolen by Koopa Troopas, the place had closed, forcing Luigi to retrieve the torch and prove its authenticity by answering trivia questions.
