| Shroom Ridge is one of the many racecourses that take place on a public road in the Mario Kart series. This racecourse appears in Mario Kart DS.
| |
|
| |
|
| This public road race track is unique as it takes place on a mountain ridge, hence the name. For about half of the course, the right hand side has no railing and is a straight drop off the cliff.
| |
|
| |
| It is also notable for the fact that in this course, the traffic moves in both directions, as opposed to the same direction as in most previous public road courses.
| |
|
| |
| The missions 3-7 and 4-3 take place on this course.
| |
|
| |
| This is similar to Mushroom Bridge and Moonview Highway, from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Kart Wii, respectively.
| |
|
| |
| ==Trivia==
| |
| *Although completely coincidental, Shroom Ridge sounds similar to Mushridge, or rather its alternate name of "Mushroom Ridge". This town appeared in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "The Provolone Ranger".
| |
| *Though there were a few rumors that this track would appear in the Wii installement (being a Retro Cup traffic track, like Mushroom Bridge in DS), the incredible speed of traffic in Wii would make this track far more difficult than even Rainbow Road. Of course, if Moonview Highway were in DS, it would be notably easier than even Luigi's Mansion.refneeded
