Flagpole Leap is a minigame found in World 1 in Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix.
Gameplay
As this minigame mimics Super Mario Bros., its goal is to get as high as possible on the flagpole. The player has to press ← and → alternately on the Dance Pad as fast as possible in order to make Mario or Luigi run faster. At the white line, the player needs to press ↑ to jump. The faster Mario or Luigi runs, the higher he jumps. If he does not jump at all, he runs into the flagpole, stunning him temporarily, and earns no points.
In-game text
- "Why do people jump on flagpoles? Why not?"
- How to Play: "Step on ← and → to accelerate. When you get to the white line, step on ↑ to jump!"
