This article is about the badges in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. For the badges in Mario Kart Tour, see List of badges in Mario Kart Tour. For the badges in other games, see Badge.
“Oh, yeah, badges! They have lots of different effects. People who travel through the Flower Kingdom like using them.”
Prince Florian, Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Badges in Super Mario Bros. Wonder are collectable and equippable items that are found from completion of a Badge Challenge or bought from Poplin Shops (with the exception of the Standee Shop in the Special World). Prince Florian equips these items to assist the players in levels. Players can equip a badge before starting a course or losing a life. In some levels, Prince Florian will recommend a badge to use. "Prince's Choice", which can be selected by pressing L Button on the badge-selection screen, will either choose the recommended badge, or choose a random badge if none is recommended.

The first badge, Parachute Cap, is obtained from Badge House in Pipe-Rock Plateau. The final badge, Sound Off?, is unlocked from first completing the final level in the game, The Final-Final Test Badge Marathon, then entering the Poplin house WONDER? The badge replaces the default sound effects in the game with voiced a cappella sound effects. If players obtain every badge, the game adds a medal to the save file.

List of badges

There are 24 badges, including nine Action Badges that add new abilities to the characters, eleven Boost Badges that grant passive benefits to players, and four Expert Badges that grant an advanced skill intended for more experienced players (save for the Sound Off? badge, which is purely cosmetic).
