I'm going to be honest here, a large number of edits around here have been problematic. You edit sniped another user in creating a page for their passed proposal before asking the user first, which is a violation of [[MarioWiki:Courtesy]], [[User_talk:HEROMARIO/Archive_1|something you were already reminded for]]; undoing legitimate edits without a proper reason; and always having to be constantly pointed out certain policy pages after you were told several times to familiarise yourself with MarioWiki guidelines. You have claimed once or twice that you've read the rules, though judging from the above messages, I'm finding it hard to believe you've done so carefully, and I strongly suggest you do starting now. Please pay closer attention to how things are done around here before jumping to rash decisions next time. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 23:31, May 21, 2019 (EDT) | I'm going to be honest here, a large number of edits around here have been problematic. See [[Mariowiki:Courtesy]]. "''The only comments you are allowed to remove are flames and acts of vandalism, and the only times you can alter another user's comment is to fix broken coding or replace a custom signature with <nowiki>{{user}}</nowiki> on pages which enforce the no-signature policy. Altering the actual content of a comment, even if you're just fixing typos, is a warnable offense. This is not limited to mainspace: even on your own talk page, you shouldn't delete a conversation. In proposals and FA nominations, if no one has "per"d your vote or addressed it in the comments, you may remove it; however, if someone has referred to your vote, you must slash it out and ensure that it is no longer counted in the tally by affixing it to the preceding line through use of <nowiki><br></nowiki>.''" {{User:Doomhiker/sig}} 13:36, July 12, 2019 (EDT)

==RE: Tiny Problem== | |||
Hello, HEROMARIO. I'm sorry to hear about your ban on the forums. Unfortunately, per the terms of the sign-up page for The 'Shroom:
"The staff reserves the right to remove writers from their position if their actions reflect badly on The 'Shroom. Actions like these include extensive misbehavior on any part of the community. Do you accept this condition?"
Your ban on the forums also results in your removal from your position as a 'Shroom writer, and your sections cannot be used during this time. Now, I do believe you've made a honest mistake, and that you're capable of learning. So I recommend that, when you return to the forum, you show you've learned from your mistakes by following the rules for a while, and then reapply for The 'Shroom. You'll be treated like any other new application, and if you're accepted you'll be allowed to return to The 'Shroom.
I look forward to seeing you grow from this and considering joining Strategy Wing again in the future. Good luck. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

{{delete-reason|Swinging platform}}
Please put effort into your articles, rather than just making them a few sentences and marking them under construction. Your article is also missing categories, templates, etc. Asking for help is great and encouraged, but should before you make a near-empty article.
Do you have a source for "swinging platform" as well? {{User:Alex95/sig}} 23:05, June 26, 2020 (EDT)
:Sorry, I don’t know what you mean by sorce. The thing is that I really don’t know of a place to work on these articals to make them finished. Though, I suppose I can make them in my sandbox with a lot of info on them. I’ll try to do better next time. {{User:HEROMARIO/sig}} 23:09, June 26, 2020 (EDT)
::Source, as in where the name comes from. I'm not finding the name in Nintendo Power, for example. Working on the article in your sandbox is good, yeah. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 23:24, June 26, 2020 (EDT)
::Ok. {{User:HEROMARIO/sig}} 23:28, June 26, 2020 (EDT)

You should also refresh yourself on wiki code and what goes into a new article before actually making the article. You need to go over [[MarioWiki:Manual of Style]] carefully as you were previously reminded [[User_talk:HEROWALUIGI/Archive_1|several times]]. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 00:32, June 27, 2020 (EDT)

In response to your question on my talk page:
#''Super Mario 64 DS'' is a remake, not a sequel.
#There should be spaces between the games and the slash.
#Nowhere in the article example does it describe what a swinging platform is.
#I'm not entirely sure if an info box is needed for obstacles.
#We don't link to games in headers for main articles, so the link to the game should be in the section text.
#References should be above templates, not below them.
#Referring to MarioWiki does not count, it has to be an external source.
Also, personal subpages should not have navtemplates and be categorized like a normal article, but you are free to comment out the category and then add it normally when it is ready like <nowiki><!--Text--></nowiki>. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 15:14, June 27, 2020 (EDT)

::Finished it {{User:HEROMARIO/sig}} 15:57, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
:::Okay, I'm going to be blunt and say that not all examples you listed are indeed swinging platforms. For example, the ones in ''Super Mario 3D World'' are instead called "'''tilting platforms'''" by that game's Prima guide, and for a good reason too. Also, I should point out that the platforms you mentioned in ''Super Mario 64'' and ''Super Mario 64 DS'' look more like pendulums, and are even reused in 4-Castle of ''New Super Mario Bros.'' near the beginning and end of the level. The platforms I'm thinking of are specifically the ones that sway back-and-forth on chains. {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 16:41, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
:Ok....So what are examples of it. Because in my mind a swinging platform are the pendulum ones. And why didn’t Alex95 mention this? What is the real definition of one? {{User:HEROMARIO/sig}} 16:46, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
::The examples I'm thinking about are found in {{world-link|1|tower|World 1-Tower (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)}} in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. Wii]]'' (colored red), [[Lemmy's Swingback Castle]] in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. U]]'' (colored blue), and [[Lemmy's Lights-Out Castle]] in ''[[New Super Luigi U]]'' (colored blue). {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 17:44, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
::Also, see [[:File:NSLU Lemmy's Lights-Out Castle Screenshot.png|this image]] from ''Luigi U''. It's specifically the platform Luigi is standing on there. {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 17:48, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
::Right....But they have the exact same functionality. And I should add those examples to the article.. {{User:HEROMARIO/sig}} 17:46, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
:::Sorry, I'm uncertain if the pendulum platforms are considered the exact same thing. Sure, they operate on the same concept, but that hasn't stopped us from splitting stuff out in the past. {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 17:52, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
::::Well. They really do the exact same thing and look very similar. I could also change the name of it to pendulum platforms. {{User:HEROMARIO/sig}} 17:54, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
:::::Do you mean split out the "pendulum platforms" until their connection to swinging platforms is proven or disproven? {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 17:59, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
::::::No. I mean merge the two until the difference is proven or disproven. {{User:HEROMARIO/sig}} 18:00, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
== RE:Talk == | |||
Meaning that there's still further actions that need to be taken in order to resolve the issue. From my viewpoint, the notice can only be removed if there's nothing left to deliberate and it's safe to downplay the discussion. For example, in [[Talk:Apprentice|this discussion]], the pages in question still need to be moved to the mentioned proper titles. Stuff like that. {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 17:41, June 27, 2020 (EDT)

== Images == | |||
[[User_talk:HEROWALUIGI/Archive_1#Images|Please review these reminders]]. {{tem|uncategorized}} is not replaced with "<nowiki>{{screenshot}}</nowiki>" (this is already taken care of when you selected a license in "Licensing"). It should be replaced with a category from [[:Category:MarioWiki images]] depending on where the image came from. So for an image from ''[[Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games]]'', starting from [[:Category:MarioWiki images]], you'd go to "Images by game" and find "Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Images", so you'd type <code><nowiki>[[Category:Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Images]]</nowiki></code> (remember square brackets, not curly brackets). If you intend to keep editing, you should be going over your past reminders and refamiliarising yourself with the guidelines without users having to constantly point out the same things again to you. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 00:36, June 28, 2020 (EDT)
:Ok got it. {{User:HEROMARIO/sig}} 10:59, June 28, 2020 (EDT)
::You forgot "Images" but otherwise yes. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 00:08, June 29, 2020 (EDT)
When you add the image to an article, make sure you specify a width as well. It shouldn't be too big or too small, so something like <code><nowiki>[[File:Girls bonus 2.jpg|250px]]</nowiki></code> (250 pixels) is good. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 00:10, June 29, 2020 (EDT)

Note[edit]
- He, He, He!!! I have Chortles!!! I have the keeping’s of the talks!!! After being defeated by Red stache and Green stache I do the 120% jobs of the talks!!! If you have the needings of the help, ask!!! But I need the permissions and the templates, I have the Fawful Coins to give for this!!! But... If you bring up Red stache, Green stache, or Big turtles I will have the FURY!!! Fawful 1:46P.M., May 4, 2019 (12 HR.)
Moving files (again)[edit]
You also have to correct links that lead to the original file, which can be found by clicking the "What links here" tool on the sidebar when on the original file page. And then the redirect should be marked for deletion when the pages you can edit have been corrected. 18:47, May 2, 2019 (EDT)
- You still aren't doing this. If you're going to do a job, please do it properly instead of leaving a mess for others to clean up. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 13:21, May 4, 2019 (EDT)
Texture legality?[edit]
If it's "illegal" to add textures and sprites to the image, then the wiki would have to go through all the effort by deleting any image having to do with a sprite or texture. Thankfully we have fair use Results May Vary (talk) 18:47, May 2, 2019 (EDT)
Comments[edit]
I'm pretty sure you were told this before, but I can't find in your archive where, so
It is perfectly acceptable to edit/remove comments if they are any of the following:
- Forum talk
- Spam/vandalism/etc.
- Contains broken coding
Additionally, this was already resolved, so the reminder was invalid. 15:10, May 4, 2019 (EDT)
- Good point. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 15:13, May 4, 2019 (EDT)
Geno[edit]
The previous wording had a better choice of words than the one you are reverting to. Also, here's another edit war userbox. TheDarkStar 14:24, May 5, 2019 (EDT)
File:Geno SMRPG.gif | <span style="color:This user survived the Geno war.;background:none">white |
Please do not edit war with comments like "Mine was better!!!" It's pointless and solves nothing. I see you already posted on Geno's talk page, but that should happen before you revert back. 17:05, May 5, 2019 (EDT)
Your newest userbox[edit]
Well, thank you! Here's a seal of approval. TheDarkStar 16:05, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
TheDarkStar approves of the above userbox. |
Level[edit]
Regarding your edits to the level page, please note that Category:Levels already does what you are doing but more organized: we do not make pages that are basically categories, that is what categories are for. What you are doing is redundant, and we will not merge the category to the page, as that will break coding and de-categorize all level pages, removing the point of a category. Doomhiker (talk) 13:06, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
Tie vs. No quorum[edit]
The tie outcome is no longer used and was replaced with no quorum years ago. Please stop changing old TPPs to tie when they should be marked no quorum. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 15:33, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
- Additionally, "failed to reach consensus" counts as failed. A no quorum is when not enough people vote. 15:38, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
RE:Sandbox[edit]
It is a list. Doomhiker (talk) 15:27, May 12, 2019 (EDT)
Costume files[edit]
Please don't intrude with the uploads. The file names are fine as they are for consistency, and for uploading file batches like that, it's a lot easier (and "stuff isn't numbered" doesn't make sense, as files are numbered all the time). Mario JC 22:33, May 12, 2019 (EDT)
Signature[edit]
Dear HEROWALUIGI, Your current signature is in violation of one or more of the rules listed on MarioWiki:Signatures (signature is too big). Please change your signature and keep the regulations and requirements in mind when creating future designs. If you have not made the appropriate changes within one week of receiving this notice, your signature will be changed for you. |
Your signature should be able to fit in this box. Please scale the gif down to 35px or less in height (add a |x35px
or a number less than that after File:Hyperluigi.gif
before the square brackets). Mario JC 09:21, May 18, 2019 (EDT)
- Oops, yes, I will make the shroom one 30px... so sorry... [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 09:23, May 18, 2019 (EDT)
- Ok, Fixed [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 09:25, May 18, 2019 (EDT)
Is it fine now??? 35 px made it Bigger!!! So I made it 17px [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 09:35, May 18, 2019 (EDT)
- I said x35px, which makes it 35 pixels in height. 35px (with no x before the number) makes it bigger because that's 35 pixels in width. It's fine now. Mario JC 09:39, May 18, 2019 (EDT)
- Oh!!! So that is what that X does, huh, I will keep that in mind, thank you for telling me. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 09:45, May 18, 2019 (EDT)
Userspace[edit]
Dear HEROWALUIGI, It has come to our attention that you are currently in violation of the userspace policy. Please review the policy and abide by it, or else a warning will be issued. Thank you for your cooperation. |
You've been editing your userpage pretty extensively over the past few weeks. I also noticed that most of your edits are coding fixes to your previous edits. I would recommend using the "Show preview" button to check your work before saving, as that way, it doesn't clog up the recent changes. Thanks! TheDarkStar 15:06, May 18, 2019 (EDT)
Taskmaster[edit]
The page(s) you recently created (Taskmaster Toad) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again.
If the article has only been tagged to be deleted you can still fix or expand it, but an administrator may delete it at any time, so please act quickly. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing! |
We hardly know anything about this character. Please don't create pages for such subjects until more information is revealed; for now, anything relating to Story Mode can go on the main game page.
You were also missing a few things:
- You're still forgetting to italicise game titles. It should be written as Super Mario Maker 2, not Super Mario Maker 2 or bolded like Super Mario Maker 2.
- New subjects in upcoming games use
{{new subject}}
, not{{upcoming}}
. Mario JC 23:01, May 18, 2019 (EDT)
KP Paratroopa Sprite[edit]
Hi, the file you uploaded, File:Yellow Paper Paratroopa.gif, is poorly animated (the in-game animation has more than two frames), oversized, and not transparent. Please don't replace existing images with lower-quality versions. Additionally, there was nothing wrong with File:Yellow Paper Paratroopa.png, so it shouldn't have been tagged for deletion. Niiue - Who has lost his tail? 14:00, May 19, 2019 (EDT)
Category redirects[edit]
Before you create redirects please look at MarioWiki:Redirects. It states "Template, Category, and File redirects are discouraged. In the rare case that one of these types of pages is moved, it is necessary to update all links to the new name and delete the redirect page." Doomhiker (talk) 18:37, May 20, 2019 (EDT)
- Oh. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 18:38, May 20, 2019 (EDT)
Another stub[edit]
Please stop creating stub articles on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Please don't create articles with next to no information to start with, like you did with Roulette Coin Block. Articles should have sufficient enough info from their creation, and the {{construction}} tag should only be there if it'll take time to complete the article, which it wouldn't at all in this case.
Another thing you should know about is that if a proposal passes, it's generally more courteous to wait a sufficient amount of time for the proposer to take action before you do anything for them, I generally don't care if users perform smaller tasks for me, but other users usually wish to complete projects themselves.
Thank you. (T|C) 23:01, May 21, 2019 (EDT)
- Ok... I was in the middle of working on it, I need my info. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 23:02, May 21, 2019 (EDT)
- What info? (T|C) 23:03, May 21, 2019 (EDT)
- Well... To make an article look like, well for it to function. You need info, and I know that the block is not only in NSMB2. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 23:04, May 21, 2019 (EDT)

"Propolsals"[edit]
Hello, just wanted to let you know that it's spelled "proposal". Thanks! TheDarkStar 23:24, May 21, 2019 (EDT)
Last warning[edit]
This is your last warning. The next time you break the rules in any way, you will be blocked from editing the Super Mario Wiki. If you feel this last warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
I'm going to be honest here, a large number of edits around here have been problematic. You edit sniped another user in creating a page for their passed proposal before asking the user first, which is a violation of MarioWiki:Courtesy, something you were already reminded for; undoing legitimate edits without a proper reason; and always having to be constantly pointed out certain policy pages after you were told several times to familiarise yourself with MarioWiki guidelines. You have claimed once or twice that you've read the rules, though judging from the above messages, I'm finding it hard to believe you've done so carefully, and I strongly suggest you do starting now. Please pay closer attention to how things are done around here before jumping to rash decisions next time. Mario JC 23:31, May 21, 2019 (EDT)
- You are perfectly right, I will use the rules before my edits unless it is by an obvious vandal. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 09:37, May 22, 2019 (EDT)
Re: I have a question[edit]
No, that wouldn't be considered flooding- sometimes people make small mistakes that they don't immediately notice until after saving the page, and then fix them. Flooding is more when someone makes a lot of simple edits (I'd say about five or more) that could easily be combined into one, and shouldn't really be given a reminder unless they've excessively edited several pages and have already received an informal message about it. I'd hold off on giving them anything for the time being, I hope that helps. :) BBQ Turtle (talk) 18:21, May 22, 2019 (EDT)
Galleries / categories[edit]
Hello, when making pages please remember to categorize them, so in Gallery:Mario Kart Tour's case Category:Galleries and Category:Mario Kart Tour should be applied. Also please remember to add templates too: in Gallery:Mario Kart Tour's case it would be {{Galleries}} (If a template for Mario Kart Tour was made then that would be added too, however as it is not made yet it cannot be added yet, as unlike with categories we do not add templates that are not made yet to pages). Categories need to be categorized too. Doomhiker (talk) 16:29, May 24, 2019 (EDT)
MKT Kart Images[edit]
As far as I know, when the admins say "wait until release", they mean wait to put the game's title into the "appearances" section of the infobox. Even then, please ask to make sure instead of just removing things without asking. LuigiMaster123 10:56, May 25, 2019 (EDT)

RE:Removing Comments[edit]
See Mariowiki:Courtesy. "The only comments you are allowed to remove are flames and acts of vandalism, and the only times you can alter another user's comment is to fix broken coding or replace a custom signature with {{user}} on pages which enforce the no-signature policy. Altering the actual content of a comment, even if you're just fixing typos, is a warnable offense. This is not limited to mainspace: even on your own talk page, you shouldn't delete a conversation. RE: Tiny Problem[edit]

Stub articles[edit]
The page(s) you recently created (Swinging platform) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect.
Please put effort into your articles, rather than just making them a few sentences and marking them under construction. Your article is also missing categories, templates, etc. Asking for help is great and encouraged, but should before you make a near-empty article.
Do you have a source for "swinging platform" as well? 23:05, June 26, 2020 (EDT)
- Sorry, I don’t know what you mean by sorce. The thing is that I really don’t know of a place to work on these articals to make them finished. Though, I suppose I can make them in my sandbox with a lot of info on them. I’ll try to do better next time. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 23:09, June 26, 2020 (EDT)
- Source, as in where the name comes from. I'm not finding the name in Nintendo Power, for example. Working on the article in your sandbox is good, yeah. 23:24, June 26, 2020 (EDT)
- Ok. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 23:28, June 26, 2020 (EDT)
You should also refresh yourself on wiki code and what goes into a new article before actually making the article. You need to go over MarioWiki:Manual of Style carefully as you were previously reminded several times. Mario JC 00:32, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- I’ll be sure to do that. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 09:29, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
In response to your question on my talk page:
- Super Mario 64 DS is a remake, not a sequel.
- There should be spaces between the games and the slash.
- Nowhere in the article example does it describe what a swinging platform is.
- I'm not entirely sure if an info box is needed for obstacles.
- We don't link to games in headers for main articles, so the link to the game should be in the section text.
- References should be above templates, not below them.
- Referring to MarioWiki does not count, it has to be an external source.
Also, personal subpages should not have navtemplates and be categorized like a normal article, but you are free to comment out the category and then add it normally when it is ready like <!--Text-->. 15:14, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- ok got it.
- Finished it [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 15:57, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Okay, I'm going to be blunt and say that not all examples you listed are indeed swinging platforms. For example, the ones in Super Mario 3D World are instead called "tilting platforms" by that game's Prima guide, and for a good reason too. Also, I should point out that the platforms you mentioned in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS look more like pendulums, and are even reused in 4-Castle of New Super Mario Bros. near the beginning and end of the level. The platforms I'm thinking of are specifically the ones that sway back-and-forth on chains. (T|C) 16:41, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Finished it [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 15:57, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Ok....So what are examples of it. Because in my mind a swinging platform are the pendulum ones. And why didn’t Alex95 mention this? What is the real definition of one? [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 16:46, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- The examples I'm thinking about are found in World 1-Tower in New Super Mario Bros. Wii (colored red), Lemmy's Swingback Castle in New Super Mario Bros. U (colored blue), and Lemmy's Lights-Out Castle in New Super Luigi U (colored blue). (T|C) 17:44, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Also, see this image from Luigi U. It's specifically the platform Luigi is standing on there. (T|C) 17:48, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Right....But they have the exact same functionality. And I should add those examples to the article.. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 17:46, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Sorry, I'm uncertain if the pendulum platforms are considered the exact same thing. Sure, they operate on the same concept, but that hasn't stopped us from splitting stuff out in the past. (T|C) 17:52, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Well. They really do the exact same thing and look very similar. I could also change the name of it to pendulum platforms. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 17:54, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- Do you mean split out the "pendulum platforms" until their connection to swinging platforms is proven or disproven? (T|C) 17:59, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
- No. I mean merge the two until the difference is proven or disproven. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 18:00, June 27, 2020 (EDT)

RE:Talk[edit]
Meaning that there's still further actions that need to be taken in order to resolve the issue. From my viewpoint, the notice can only be removed if there's nothing left to deliberate and it's safe to downplay the discussion. For example, in this discussion, the pages in question still need to be moved to the mentioned proper titles. Stuff like that. (T|C) 17:41, June 27, 2020 (EDT)

Images[edit]
Please review these reminders. {{uncategorized}} is not replaced with "{{screenshot}}" (this is already taken care of when you selected a license in "Licensing"). It should be replaced with a category from Category:MarioWiki images depending on where the image came from. So for an image from Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, starting from Category:MarioWiki images, you'd go to "Images by game" and find "Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Images", so you'd type [[Category:Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Images]]
(remember square brackets, not curly brackets). If you intend to keep editing, you should be going over your past reminders and refamiliarising yourself with the guidelines without users having to constantly point out the same things again to you. Mario JC 00:36, June 28, 2020 (EDT)
- Ok got it. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 10:59, June 28, 2020 (EDT)
When you add the image to an article, make sure you specify a width as well. It shouldn't be too big or too small, so something like [[File:Girls bonus 2.jpg|250px]]
(250 pixels) is good. Mario JC 00:10, June 29, 2020 (EDT)
- Ok I’ll remember that. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 08:49, June 29, 2020 (EDT)
