In the original ''Super Smash Bros.'', if Kirby holds an opponent in his mouth, he would be unable to walk or jump until he spits or swallows the enemy. All he is limited to in movement is to turn around. This was fixed in ''Super Smash Bros. Melee''. If Kirby uses his [[Taunt]] (Up Taunt in ''Super Smash Bros. Brawl''), he will let go of the power that he gained.

King Dedede's attack, his standard special move as well, does not copy an opponent's power. Rather, it is able to suck in more than one opponent, and fires them back out, dealing 10% damage to them. Kirby can gain this ability as well by copying it with his own Inhale move.
