Why I Like Super Mario Wiki

Well, as a previous Wikipedia editor, I really have to say it's obvious: this wiki is interesting. In Wikipedia, every single, little, tiny detail must be precisely correct, and if not - KA-SPAM! You're edit is marked as spam, and you're sentenced to a 1000-year editing ban on Wikipedia, and your IP address is displayed on the Top-10 Most Wanted Editors list.

Also, this wiki is much more User-friendly. In Wikipedia, User accounts are strictly for the purpose of helping the wiki grow in an organized, boring fashion, and NO Users, under ANY circumstance, are allowed to have interesting User pages. On Super Mario Wiki, when you make an account, some random User will come put a template on your Talk page, say hi, and become a friend. On Wikipedia, they try the same old template trick, except this time, it's hand-delivered by a mindless Wikipedia-bot, and it's not to try and help you - it's just luring you into the flase sense that you will be able to become someone important in thw Wiki, but then the Admins and Sysops and other higher-level Users will soon crush your hopes and dreams, leaving you in a pitiful state of know-nothingness.

Well, that's basically a few short examples of why I choose to contribute to this wiki.

Also, as if that wasn't enough, here are some terms translated into Super Mario Wiki terms and Wikipedia terms (you should see why I prefer the SMW ones to the Wikipedia ones):

Edit

Wikipedia: Something that has been changed on the Wiki. All edits must have a base in fact, and must be written in an orderly, presentable fashion. All edits that do not meet this criteria will swiftly be deleted by a team of brain-drained monkeys.

SMW: A change made to a page in the Wiki. Almost all edits are made with good intentions; edits that are considered vandalism will be deleted.

User

Wikipedia: A mindless robot who is forced to do the bidding of the Wiki. Users may have a User page, although that is STRICLTY for showing small paritcles of their work on the Wiki. Users may NOT have: personal information, interesting facts, fun quizzes, random pictures, external links, or cries for help on their User pages. All Users are bound by the ancient Wikipedia Dark Magic to contribute to the Wiki; you can try to leave the Wiki, although the Wiki will never leave you. Users ARE NOT allowed to have ANY sort of non-formal discussion with another User about ANYTHING that does not concern the Wiki. Users will be prosecuted if they are found guilty of making a stupid edit.

SMW: Users are what make the Wiki go! Users can have User pages, which are pages with all kinds of interesting things about themselves, with pictures and other cool stuff! Users make edits, create articles, and help solve problems about the Wikis. Users are free to talk with other Users about issues in the Wiki, or just about anything else they please.
