Charge is an attack that Goombario and some enemies can use in Paper Mario. This attack is very similar to the badge of the same name. It uses up one FP to raise Goombario's attack power by two the next time he attacks. It is possible to Charge multiple times in a row for an increased effect. Goombario can use this move only after he is at the Super Rank. In addition to Goombario, some enemies, most noticeably the Hyper Cleft, Hyper Goomba, and their winged and spiky relatives, can also use Charge.

Target Goombario

Charge is a move that Goombario uses in Paper Mario. It uses up one FP to boost Goombario's Attack power by two for the next time he attacks. It is possible to Charge multiple times in a row for an increased effect. Goombario can use this move only after he is at the Super Rank.

In addition to Goombario, Mario is also able to charge with the help of certain badges such as Jump Charge and Smash Charge, and some enemies like Hyper Clefts are also capable of performing this skill.

Charge also returns in the sequel, where it can be used by both Mario and his partners with the help of Charge and Charge P, as well as by some bosses and enemies.
