World 5-8 is the eighth normal and eleventh overall level of Sky Land in Super Mario Bros. 3. This level is playable upon beating World 5-
Fortress 2. This level's completion unlocks access to World 5-9.
Layout[edit]
This level begins with Mario standing on a cloud platform. To his right are two more cloud platforms, one above the other. The top cloud has four ? Blocks. The third one produces either a Super Mushroom or Super Leaf. The other three give Mario a coin. To the right is another cloud platform that can be reached by clearing a gap with a simple jump. There is another gap and cloud platform to the right of this one. On this platform, a Lakitu that throws Spinies appears. Mario must make his way over many gaps to reach small cloud platforms. A few platforms later, a red Koopa Troopa walks along the cloud. If Mario gets past this platform, he encounters another red Koopa Troopa on the next one.
