Mushroom City is a racecourse in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! The course can be raced in the Star Cup.
Mushroom City, as the name implies, is set in a large city called Mushroom City; possibly the largest city in the Mushroom Kingdom. There are a few junctions in the course, but all paths lead to the same place. The course starts out on a straightaway which almost immediately splits into two intersecting paths. The straight path is longer, but the right path, leading into the center of the city, has many cars that could spin or possibly flip the player in the case of the Wiggler train and the Bob-omb car. Either path leads to a single path with a small turn. If players look off into the distance, Mushroom Bridge can be seen. After the turn, the right half of the track becomes nonexistent; falling results in Lakitu's rescue. Continuing on this path for a while, the course repeats.
There is a shortcut located at the junction. If one takes the straight path, but stays on the right hand side, a small tunnel one kart wide will appear. This leads straight to the turn ahead. What is presumably Mushroom City can be seen from Rainbow Road when falling.
Although the Skyscraper in Mario Kart 64 might have taken place here, Mushroom City first actual appearance going by this name was Mario Kart: Double Dash!!.
Locations and Landmarks
- Moonview Highway – A busy parkway that cuts through the city.
- Skyscraper – A tall city building, perhaps the tallest one in the city.
- Jr. Street – A lavish Basketball court illuminated by city lights and the night sky.
- Neon Heights – A towering skyscraper holding many attractions on it's roof.
- Mushroom Bridge – A bridge traveling through the suburbs of Mushroom City.
Trivia
- There are several businesses in the city such as Pianta Fruits, Wario Pharmacy, and Koopa Shop. There is also a sign that shows that there is a "Latiku Park" probably outside the city, and a giant sign that has Birdo on it that says "Ribbon" it may, also, be a business.
