World 16 from Dr. Mario World
Game Dr. Mario World
Level(s) 44
<< List of worlds >>

World 16 is a rocky archipelago world in Dr. Mario World resembling Sparkling Waters from New Super Mario Bros. U. The first area is available as of 2 AM PT on May. 28, 2020[1], while the second area, challenge stages and special stage are available as of 11 PM PT on Jun. 10, 2020[2].

When an area is cleared, Huckit Crabs and Urchins appear. The viruses featured in the regular stages are red, green and light-blue.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (18) and collect all keys (7).

In this stage, colorful crates form three intersecting circles with like-colored viruses within the respective crates, with red viruses taking priority. One of the keys is in one of the intersecting areas while the others are outside the circles. The doors are in the topmost row.

Starting with 30 capsules, the objective of this stage is to collect all purple coins (16).

In this stage, bubbles are arranged in a wave, with purple coins and an exploder in the highest point of each column and viruses in the others. Caged crates and flasks are located above the bubbles, and the area above them are purple coins, exploders and shells. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out bubbles containing viruses.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (16) and break all crates (32).

In this stage, groups of two caged crates in a column are arranged in a checkered pattern with floatie viruses and exploders in between, split into two groups in the middle. The respective lock blocks are located in the corners in the topmost row.

Starting with 33 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (23) and break all barriers (6).

In this stage, the even-numbered columns contain bubbles containing viruses and inactive barriers, while the odd-numbered columns contain bubble machines and Empty Blocks. Additional viruses are found in the middle seven columns.

Prior to version 1.4.0, the stage layout was different. The following changes were made:

  • Bubble machines are added in the odd-numbered columns in the ninth row.

Prior to version 2.0.0, the stage layout was different. The following changes were made:

  • The five bubble machines in the ninth row are removed. (The changes were reverted from the prior update)

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (29) and collect all keys (7).

In this stage, the keys and doors are either found inside barrels or are covered in dust clouds (the other dust clouds are dust viruses). The leftmost and rightmost columns have light-blue cages with its corresponding lock block in the second column, while the third and seventh columns have green cages with its corresponding lock block in the middle of the topmost row. Ice fans are located in the middle five columns in a "V" pattern.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (19) and collect all coins from Coin Blocks (48).

In this stage, there is a ring of Brick Blocks (all containing coins) with lock blocks inside. Both the left and right of this ring are colorful crates in a checkered pattern with viruses on the outside. The left group has caged floatie viruses and the right group has shells in the same row as the lock blocks.

Starting with 33 capsules, the objective of this stage is to collect all virus coins (16).

In this stage, the odd-numbered columns have barriers and Brick Blocks covering the virus coins, with floatie viruses below the middle columns and flasks below the side columns. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out Brick Blocks.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (33) and break all colorful crates (27).

In this stage, the bottom half contains ice fans and rows of colorful crates and viruses on their right. The top half contains a group of viruses and a group of colorful crates, along with a shell. Separating the halves is a row of viruses, with the viruses on the left half being hidden in clouds (therefore, they cannot be covered in ice from the ice fan's effect).

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (27) and collect all coins from Coin Blocks (51).

In this stage, there are three columns of half-frozen exploders and viruses between columns of Brick Blocks, along with a normal virus and a Brick Block above each of the columns of fully-frozen objects. The Brick Blocks in the odd-numbered rows and the middle of the second row are Coin Blocks, while the Brick Blocks in the fourth, sixth and eighth rows contain hidden viruses.

Starting with 22 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (28) and collect all purple coins (32).

In this stage, there is a pattern starting from the eighth row to the absolute topmost row where the odd-numbered rows contain crates and Brick Blocks containing hidden purple coins, while the even-numbered rows contain bubbles containing viruses next to a Brick Block in each row containing hidden a Capsule Plus (+5 for the bottom-most one and +4 for the others), all situated in the middle column. The ninth row (before the stage scrolls) contains purple coins that are not hidden inside Brick Blocks.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 6 lines are introduced.

Starting with 31 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (12) and collect all virus coins (28).

In this stage, the barriers form a triangle with its top-left corner being half-frozen, and behind each barrier is a virus coin. Crates in the odd-numbered columns and viruses (both normal and half-frozen) in the even-numbered columns are arranged in a cascading fashion.

In this stage, the objects form a square. Crates each requiring four hits to break are placed in each of the four corners, and viruses are located at the left and right sides of the square and as a ring in the third layer. Occupying most of the square are colorful crates (caged and uncaged). A lock block is in the middle of the square that will unlock the cages in the second layer.

The last stage of the first area and starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (37) and collect all keys (6).

In the initial part of this stage, viruses are arranged in rows of three on either the left or right side, with colorful crates inside barrels in rows of four located on the other side of the rows except for the ninth row. The seven rows revealed after the stage scrolls contain colorful crates in the odd-numbered rows and barrels, where the ones surrounding the viruses in second and sixth rows contain exploders while the others contain viruses. The doors are located in the topmost row after the stage scrolls all the way.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 8 lines are introduced.

When cleared, the rest of the first area in the world map gets cleared of viruses. Players also obtain the Urchin assistant upon completing this stage.
