My advice for them is that if a simple list will organize information sufficiently, use it over a table. The table in the ''Super Mario 64'' section is not a bad way to organize information but I recommend removing rowspans in favor of line breaks. As for the last two cells I prefer if they aren't colspanned at all and because of them I think an indented bullet list works better overall. {{User:Mario/sig}} 13:26, May 21, 2023 (EDT)

I don't know if this counts or not, but in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe's Challenge mode, aren't Red Coins the collectable things? Or are those Yoshi coins?

Yes, they are red coins. — Stooben Rooben I hope that helps.

Yoshi's Island[edit]

I added a not about how red coins have a slightly higher collision radius in Yoshi's Island. You can test this by shooting an egg just under a row of coins which contains both red and gold coins. If it's just far enough away so the gold ones don't get collected, the red ones still will be.

Also got rid of the note about red coins sometimes not having a reddish tint, & ordinary coins sometimes having one. In my experience this is untrue. Maybe it is true in the DS game, I don't know, but if so that game should have a different section. Dranorter 12:20, 6 July 2011 (EDT)

Tables[edit]

My advice for them is that if a simple list will organize information sufficiently, use it over a table. The table in the Super Mario 64 section is not a bad way to organize information but I recommend removing rowspans in favor of line breaks. As for the last two cells I prefer if they aren't colspanned at all and because of them I think an indented bullet list works better overall. Mario (Santa)'s map icon from Mario Kart Tour Mario-HOHO! If I'm not mistaken I think you said before that you preferred limited use of tables in general? (on the History of Mario page) I think we all can agree that the most important part is that the bleeding red color is now gone. CoolNintendo (talk) 13:51, May 21, 2023 (EDT)
Yeah. Also the red color shouldn't have been on the table, even if the color can be restored. My idea on how to organize information would look closer to this, with use of a columns template (the display isn't optimal for me; too many columns, but it's closer what I prefer and I guess there's a way to introduce greater control of the display through modifying the {{columns}} template itself.)

Right, so will we add this to the page then? If using color in table perhaaaps a lighter shade of red could suffice CoolNintendo (talk) 14:03, May 21, 2023 (EDT)
No, this is just an idea I have. I just am proposing it, but we still need agreement from other editors, such Archivist Toadette, who initially undid your revision and asked for a talk page comment first. I personally don't think this is a great idea in every instance, but I do agree that the table's color contrast had problems. It's probably better if we hear other opinions on this. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 16:01, May 21, 2023 (EDT)
