Shouldn't this mention in the "Other and Later Games" section that "x's voice clip is reused from this game" is not a reference in and of itself? J-Luigi (talk) 18:09, 7 November 2015 (EST)
final place (hopefully)[edit]
This is the last place to change it. I also want to note that since the proposals are very long and I will need other people's support to change them, I am not going to mess around with them. Yoshi the SSM (talk) 15:32, 19 October 2016 (EDT)

Updates[edit]
Due to a couple of proposals passed last year, "References to other games and references in later games: What aren't references?" needs to be updated.
- Proposal 1 adds music to the list of non-references. It should now read "When a character, location, object, enemy or theme that became common to the series reappears."
- Proposal 2 adds reissues as non-references. It should now read "Follow-up games and reissues aren't references to the original ones. Example: Super Mario Galaxy 2 isn't a reference to Super Mario Galaxy. Neither is Super Mario 64 DS a reference to Super Mario 64."
