Throwing a sledge hammer
Sledge Bros. are larger versions of Hammer Bros. which can cause miniature earthquakes when they land after jumping and can also throw giant sledge hammers.
They replace regular Hammer Bros. on the Giant Land map screen. Since they're so large and throw hammers much farther than normal, Mario can stand next to them and not be harmed. Just remember to be in the air by the time a Sledge Brother lands or else you'll be paralyzed.
They can be found in Super Mario Bros. 3 and in New Super Mario Bros..
