They're pretty much the same pitch to me (comparing [https://www.mariomayhem.com/downloads/sounds/NSMBWiiSoundEffects/nsmbwiiCoin.wav this] with ''NSMB2''{{'}}s coin sounds). Can you perhaps provide a detailed comparison if they're actually different pitches (and how can you tell through the music and voices in the trailer)? {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 07:54, December 11, 2022 (EST) |

Image Categories
Hey, I saw that you uploaded an image, but it doesn't have an image category. The image is not used on any other pages either, so I'm not too sure if you were planning on using that image as a personal image or adding it to an article. Regardless, an image should have a category. For example, If you were to upload a Mario Party 9 image, you would categorize the image by adding 2 square brackets on each side and them putting in Category: Mario Party 9 images in between those brackets. Thank you, and keep contributing! Note that this is just a heads-up for future uploads. Mari0fan100 (talk) 14:57, October 12, 2022 (EDT)

Image categories
Hello, RetroNintendo2008. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]]or [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |

Please read through this reminder; {{uncategorized}} should be replaced with a category link depending on what game the image is from. Mario JC 04:24, October 30, 2022 (EDT)
I also suggest reading MarioWiki:Trivia before adding more of this. Any information that is more relevant to a specific character, location etc. should go on its own page instead, and anything that can easily be placed in the main body of the article (like the edit on World 6-1 (Super Mario Bros. 2)) should just be put there instead. Mario JC 04:40, October 30, 2022 (EDT)
You did this correctly with File:MonopolySuperMarioCelebration.jpg. Categories are not added with curly brackets, and navigation templates like {{merchandise}} do not go on files. Mario JC 02:30, November 2, 2022 (EDT)
Don't add general categories like "Merchandise" and "Super Mario Bros." Images should only have categories with "images" at the end ("Super Mario Bros. images" and "Merchandise images"). Mario JC 03:56, November 4, 2022 (EDT)
Third-person writing
Make sure to avoid using "you"s on articles; "the player" and "they" should be used instead. Mario JC 09:29, November 3, 2022 (EDT)
- I’m fully aware of this, although I forget to do it very easily. From now on, I’ll check every part of my article to remove any unnecessary “you”s I can find. This was signed by NintendoFan08 03:58, November 4, 2022 (EDT)
Merchandise
"Merchandise" navigation templates and categories are only for articles specifically of merchandise, not for characters and objects that are featured in merchandise. Mario JC 04:56, December 7, 2022 (EST)
NSMB2 coin sound
They're pretty much the same pitch to me (comparing this with NSMB2's coin sounds). Can you perhaps provide a detailed comparison if they're actually different pitches (and how can you tell through the music and voices in the trailer)? Mario JC 07:54, December 11, 2022 (EST)
